Holiday Accommodation:

Operating under the names Cairns Holiday Rentals and Palm Cove Holiday Homes we have a range of value vacation or holiday accommodation at Palm Cove and other Cairns beach suburbs. We offer accommodation from the stunning to clean and tidy budget accommodation.

We have an expanding range of holiday rental accommodation at Palm Cove including houses villas apartments or units and other beach side accommodation. Whilst most of our holiday accommodation is located in popular Palm Cove, which is only 20 minutes north of Cairns, we also have holiday rentals available in most Cairns Beaches locations.

Just to the south of Palm Cove are the northern beachside townships of CliftonBeach, TrinityBeach and Yorkeys Knob, each with their own particular allure and charm.

All our houses & units are fully self-contained and within walking distance of a Beach. Most properties have a pool and offer a level of value and privacy not found in a resort or motel complex.

GETTING AROUND:- 
 
 
 
This beautiful home is ideally situated and just 5 minutes walk to a private deserted beach,  5 minutes drive from shopping centres,  5 minutes drive to Trinity beach,  walking tracks,  bicycle tracks,  bush walks,  wildlife viewing tracks,  boat marina and boat ramp nearby,  and large selection of restaurants very close. 
 
From the BOATHOUSE,  you are only 35 minutes drive to Port Douglas,  15 minutes drive to Cairns City, 55 minutes drive to the Daintree ferry,  10 minutes drive to Jabakai and Skyrail and 10 minutes drive to Palm Cove.  
 
 
 
SUNSET DRINKS:- 
 
 
 
  A nice thing to do at the end of your day is to sit back and enjoy a sunset view over the Bluewater Marina (almost opposite) with yachts and motor boats peacefully moored on the calm waters of Moon River from the back deck of the BOATHOUSE.The large timber deck extends almost right to the waters edge with natural gardens surrounding.Open a bottle of wine and enjoy eating out at one of 2 private outdoor dining tables with wonderful views. 
 
 
 
FISHING:- 
 
 
 
  You can catch a fish right from the back deck. Barramundi and  Mangrove Jack have both been caught from the deck on lures, whilst other varieties can sometimes be caught using bait. 
 
Also, we have caught mud crabs in pots right in front of the house and further along the river.  If you have a small boat yourself or if you hire a boat (15 minutes away) there is a boat ramp almost opposite and you can enjoy fishing and crabbing along the river in many areas. 
 
Another good spot to wet a line is just down along the deserted beach (5 minutes walk) and then walk along the beach (300m) to the river mouth where the tidal movements can produce good opportunities for catching any number of fish. 
 
If you get the opportunity to use a boat on the river,  you will usually see an array of bird life, saltwater crocodiles and native fauna. There is lots of room for parking boat trailers and cars in front of the house and in the large driveway. 
 
THE PROPERTY:- 
 
  The BOATHOUSE sits on a large 900m2 block with nice landscaped gardens and privacy in a fully fenced yard. You have use of 1 bay of the 3 car garage which locks up for security plus there is lots of driveway parking as well. The house sleeps 8 people comfortably with roomy bathroom and ensuite facilities. A large 50" Plasma TV is in the living  room where you can sit back on the huge leather lounge and relax.  A 10 seater timber dining room table is the centre piece of the open living area with 3.5m high ceilings making this a great room. 
 
There are 4 large 3m stacker (glass) door openings onto outdoor dining areas and decks, so the whole place opens up to the waterfront environment bridging outdoor and indoor living that all flows at the same level. 
 
The BBQ pavilion has a large square 8 seater timber dining table & comfortable padded seats and around this pavilion there is a large fishpond 1m wide with 2 bridges over the pond as access to this pavilion. It looks a bit like a moat and has running water and numerous small fish as a nice feature of the house. This pavilion also overlooks the "wet edge" pool to the river. 
 
At night,  everything lights up. The pool lighting is a brilliant bright blue and there is also led deck lighting surrounding the entire riverside deck area. There is also a further nice little place to sit, down on the little peninsula in the corner of the yard where you can look right along the entire river past all the boats at the marina. 
 
We have had amazing feedback from couples and groups that have stayed at the BOATHOUSE. 
 
Just being right at the waters edge makes for a tranquil and pleasant stay and its like a moving picture that is always changing with the tides, boats,  clouds and sunsets continually taking on a different feel at all times of the day.
